The microstructures and the microwave dielectric properties of the (1 â x)(Mg0.95Zn0.05)TiO3-x(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3 ceramic system were investigated. In order to achieve a temperature-stable material, combining a positive temperature coefficient material with a negative one was applied in this study. (Na0.5La0.5)TiO3, having a large positive Ïf value, was added to (Mg0.95Zn0.05)TiO3 to compensate its Ïf. By appropriately adjusting the x value in the ceramic system, zero Ïf value can be achieved. The microwave dielectric properties are strongly related to the density, the matrix and the second phase of the specimen. A new microwave dielectric material, 0.88(Mg0.95Zn0.05)TiO3-0.12(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3 possessing an Ér of 23.39, a Q Ã f of 103,000 GHz (at 9 GHz) and a Ïf of 1.1 ppm/°C that is applicable in GPS patch antennas and 3 G passive components, is suggested.
