Thiocuprates-Interesting anisotropic solids

A review of the thiocuprates of the alkali metals including some ammonium, thallium and barium compounds is given: occurrence, preparation, soft chemistry and crystal chemistry. Some aspects of the physical properties, phase transitions, and the chemical bonding are discussed.
