The FeSe thin films were successfully deposited onto glass substrates at 573 K temperature using spray pyrolysis method. The XRD analysis shows that the as-deposited FeSe thin films are nanocrystalline in nature with tetragonal structure. The surface morphology of FeSe film shows growth of spherical grains with agglomeration on homogenous background. The 2D and 3D AFM image of FeSe film confirms uniform deposition with porous morphology. The EDAX study reveals that the iron selenide films are rich in iron. The absorption spectrum indicates that the spray deposited FeSe films have direct transition with optical band gap 2.75 eV. The electrical resistivity at room temperature is of the order of 4×103 Ω-cm and its variation with temperature confirms semiconducting behavior of FeSe.
