Effect of annealing on the microstructure and erosion performance of cold-sprayed FeAl intermetallic coatings

► Dense FeAl coating was deposited by cold spray with post annealing. ► Cohesion in FeAl coating was enhanced by annealing at 950 °C. ► Erosion resistance was improved by a factor of three by annealing at 1100 °C.
