Azimuth-inclination angles and snatch load on a tight mooring system

► The study focuses on estimation of the inclination and azimuth angle between the submerged linear generator and floating buoy. ► The experimental result allows evaluation of lateral force acting on capsule, which is a key factor for design and construction of WEC. ► Snatch load between the buoy and the generator occur. ► This was obtained by a sudden jump of the inclination angle among the generator and floating buoy. ► Moreover, the inclination and azimuth angle allow reproduction of the position of the floating buoy on the water surface.
