Short-crested waves interaction with a concentric cylindrical structure with double-layered perforated walls

► The SBFEM is first applied to the wave interaction with a new concentric cylindrical structure. ► The solving process for the SBFEM equations have been re-derived. ► The major factors affecting hydrodynamic performance are examined. ► Due to the existence of the middle porous cylinder, hydrodynamic force is reduced considerably. ► The present study aids to choose design data suitable to the user's requirements.
