Effect of slowly varying drift forces on the motion characteristics of truss spar platforms

► Equations used for wave force calculations were derived and presented. ► The effects of the various components of the second order difference frequency forces on the response spectra were compared. ► The accuracy of this numerical scheme was found to be acceptable by comparing with model test measurements.
