Coupled flow and geomechanical analysis for gas production in the Prudhoe Bay Unit L-106 well Unit C gas hydrate deposit in Alaska

► Field-scale reservoir simulations on a real field in Alaska are performed. ► Two-way coupling between flow and geomechanics is used in this study. ► The recently proposed robust numerical algorithm for two-way coupling is used. ► Geological stability and well stability are assessed from numerical results. ► This study is the first application of two-way coupling to a real hydrate field.
