Cosmic-ray abundances and energy spectra at high energies: Measurements with TRACER and KASCADE

Galactic cosmic rays are investigated with complementary techniques above the atmosphere and on ground. Recent results of two experiments, the TRACER balloon experiment and the KASCADE air-shower detector are discussed.
