The role of alkali additives in the crystallization of ferroelectric potassium lithium niobate crystals

► Alkali additives alter the seeding temperature and improve the crystal stoichiometry. ► Cs2O/Rb2O additive increases, Na2O decreases the phase transition temperature. ► Cs2O practically does not enter the KLN lattice and can be considered as a fluxing agent.
