Effect of N5+ ion implantation in CVT grown ZnSe single crystals

► ZnSe single crystals have been grown by the chemical vapor transport method. ► N5+ ion implanted ZnSe single crystals show decrease in lattice constant. ► FWHM is found to increase with increase in implantation fluencies. ► Nitrogen bond formation in ZnSe crystals is confirmed using vibrational analysis. ► N5+ ion implanted ZnSe crystals show “blue”, “greenish” and “yellow” emissions.
