A rigorous proof for non-existence of edge state in the semi-infinite armchair edged graphene

Within the transfer matrix method, we study the conditions for the existence of the edge states in the semi-infinite armchair edged graphene. We discuss zero-energy and non-zero-energy edge states, respectively, and show the non-existence of the edge states in the model analytically and rigorously.
