Positive magnetoresistance behaviour in the insulating side of the metal–insulator transition in CdSe

Experimental results are reported on field positive magnetoresistance in a CdSe sample in which variable-range hopping occurs at low temperatures. Positive magnetoresistance associated with variable-range hopping conduction has been observed. Experimental data are tentatively compared with available models in the insulating regime.
