⺠A series of SmFe1-xZnxAsO0.8F0.2 samples with x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.4 have been successfully synthesized. ⺠Superconductivity is suppressed by Zn doping at Fe site with the lattice parameters being increased simultaneously. ⺠The metal to semiconductor transition is observed in the SmFe1-xZnxAsO0.8F0.2 system.
