► This paper proposed an effective magnetizing method of high-Tc bulk superconductors. ► The magnetic pass was artificially formed by field-cooling using a permanent magnet. ► The trapped field was increased by 20-25 % as compared with the conventional method. ► We observed that the channel was formed partially in the trapped field distribution
