Effects of Zn on superconductivity, stripe order, and pseudogap correlations in YBa2(Cu1−yZny)3O7−δ

► The effect of Zn on Tc of Y123 compounds has been studied as a function of hole content (p). ► Zn induced rate of suppression of Tc was found to be highly p dependent. ► Non-monotonic and anomalous variation of Tc with Zn was found around the 60 K plateau. ► We have discussed various models that can possibly explain this anomalous behavior.
