Intermittent superconductivity in three-dimensional mesoscopic rings

► This study has revealed, for the first time, the relation of the intermittent superconductivity to the dimension of the ring. ► T-Φ phase diagram is given. Disconnected superconducting regions (S) separated by a normal resistive phase (N) are found in the zero temperature limit. ► The normal state can be controlled by the medium with surface enhancement or suppression of superconductivity.
