The use of clustering techniques for the classification of high energy physics data
چکیده انگلیسی

We present an attempt to separate between two kinds of high energy events: Higgs boson events (e+e-→ZH→4jetse+e-→ZH→4jets) and other physics processes in the 4-jet channel (e+e-→Z/γ,W+W-,ZZ→4jets)(e+e-→Z/γ,W+W-,ZZ→4jets), using several clustering techniques. Hierarchical and K-means methods as well as a Peano space filling curve are investigated. Events were produced at post-LEP2 energies, using the Lund Monte Carlo generator and the ALEPH package.
