Deuteron-gold collisions provide the opportunity to probe the partonic structure of the Au nucleus, measuring a valuable baseline for Au+Au collisions. There are strong theoretical and experimental interests in the possibility of gluon saturation effects, which could influence parton distributions at very low x in the nucleon. These effects would be even stronger in a nucleus and can be investigated via d+Au collisions, particularly with the PHENIX forward detectors, which can access x≈0.005. Comparison of the mid-rapidity yield correlated with jets triggered on the d going side to the yield correlated with those triggered on the Au going side allows exploration of gluon saturation and other x dependent effects. The status of this analysis will be presented.
