Nuclear Effective Field Theory Without Pions

Effective field theories without explicit pion fields have been developed for the description of weakly-bound nuclei. I review continuum results for systems with up to four nucleons, a novel no-core-shell-model-basis calculation of larger systems, and the extension to halo nuclei.
