First observation of Z→τ+τ− production in pp collisions with CMS at

Studies of Z bosons decaying to τ leptons constitute a test of the Standard Model (SM) in the new LHC energy regime as well as a benchmark process for H→τ+τ− searches. This paper describes the first results of Z→τ+τ− studies performed with of integrated luminosity collected with CMS detector up to end of Summer 2010.
