Air shower calculations with QGSJET-II: effects of Pomeron loops

A new version of the QGSJET-II model is presented. The basic improvement, compared to the earlier treatment, is connected to taking into consideration an additional class of enhanced Pomeron diagrams – Pomeron loop contributions. The basic formalism is discussed and the model results for characteristics of hadronic interactions and for air shower development are investigated.
