LHCb: status and perspectives

LHCb is an LHC experiment dedicated to flavour physics and CP violation study. Here we describe the current status of the experiment and its potential to observe manifestations of New Physics in CP violation and rare B decays. The LHCb reach in charm and tau physics is also discussed, as well as strategy of its upgrade for higher luminosity.
