Ground-based interferometric gravitational wave antennas

Several ground-based interferometers are presently in action all around the world aiming to detect gravitational waves between a few tens of Hz and a few kHz. The main techniques used in this kind of detectors are illustrated. The present status of the network and the future plans are described here below.
