A Silicon Detector on a Carbon Fiber Support Structure at Small Radius

The design of a silicon detector on a carbon fiber support structure at small radius for the DØ experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider is presented. The emphasis is placed on grounding schemes to minimize noise contributions.
