Research and development on detectors: status and priorities

This report considers the main issues on detector R&D and design in launching the International Scoping Study on a ν-factory and super-beam facility. Although the design of a β-beam facility is carried out in a different framework, the Eurisol program, the detector R&D as well as the main physics issues are comprehensive of all possibilities for future neutrino beam facilities. The main aspects of the progress done since the last NUFACT Workshop are reported, together with the lines of future work.
