The Tabletop Measurement of the Helicity of the Neutrino

Fifty-two years ago Maurice Goldhaber, Lee Grodzins and Andrew Sunyar (GGS) experimentally determined that the spin of the neutrino is antiparallel to its momentum. The neutrinoʼs helicity is negative. The result proved that beta decay proceeds via the Axial Vector and Vector modes.
