Tau Physics: Theory Overview

The present status of some selected topics on τ physics is presented: charged-current universality tests, bounds on lepton-flavour violation, the determination of αs from the inclusive τ hadronic width, the measurement of |Vus| through the Cabibbo-suppressed decays of the τ, and the theoretical description of the τ→ντKπ spectrum.
