Absorption cross sections of real photons at superhigh energies

A brief review of modern theoretical models describing the process of the absorption of real photons by nucleons at superhigh energies is given. The main aim of the work is an estimation of the theoretical uncertainty of the cross section prediction at photon energies around 1019–1020 eV.
