The Rare Decay at the Next-to-Leading Order and Beyond

We review the status of the rare decay. The role of the decays in the standard model and its extension is discussed to emphasise the need for a precise theory prediction of the decay rate. The next-to-next-to-leading order calculation of the charm quark contribution to is discussed in greater detail.
