The CDF Silicon Vertex Trigger

Motivations, design, performance and ongoing upgrade of the CDF Silicon Vertex Trigger are presented. The system provides CDF with a powerful tool for online tracking with offline quality in order to enhance the reach on B-physics and large Pt-physics coupled to b quarks.
