Role of four-quark condensates in QCD sum rules

The QCD sum rule approach to the in-medium behavior of hadrons is discussed for the ω meson, nucleon and D meson. Emphasis is placed on the impact of four-quark condensates and on order parameters of spontaneous symmetry breaking.
