The article presents a possible outline of a biomedical facility project at the 3 GeV Polish synchrotron light source, the construction of which is in the next few years under consideration. The aim of the facility is to apply the X-ray techniques for imaging, diagnostics, and therapy in biological and medical objects, including humans and animals. Two independent synchrotron radiation (SR) sources are foreseen, the bending magnet and the superconducting wiggler, with a significant part of infrastructure common to both. The facility will be built in three phases: first, the beamline with the bending magnet, later the more advanced and powerful beamline with the wiggler and finally, the wiggler beamline will be elongated to include diagnostic and therapeutic techniques demanding beams of a large cross-section.
