Immunolocalization of steroidogenic acute regulatory protein-related lipid transfer (START) domain-containing proteins in the developing cerebellum of normal and hypothyroid rats

► Changes on StAR and StarD6 were investigated in the developing cerebellum. ► StAR and StarD6 differentially appeared in the developing Purkinje cells. ► StarD6 obviously delayed and decreased by propylthiouracil-induced hypothyroidism. ► StarD6, rather than StAR, may affect the development of Purkinje cells.
