► Aspergillus versicolor is one of the most common fungi in damp housing. ► A sensitive method was developed for the Aspergillus versicolor allergen Asp v 13. ► The method is based on a double polyclonal capture ELISA. ► The detection limits were 2.44 pg Asp v 13 or 12 ng A. versicolor spore fragments. ► The detection limits were 1.0 ng allergen or 7.8 μg spores/g house dust.
