Segregation of secondary metabolite biosynthesis in hybrids of Fusarium fujikuroi and Fusarium proliferatum

► We analyzed an interspecific cross between Fusarium fujikuroi and Fusarium proliferatum. ► We studied the production of gibberellins, fumonisins and fusarins in the progeny. ► The segregation pattern were far distant from the expected 1:1 Mendelian ratio. ► Among the progeny are isolates with a new composition of secondary metabolites.
