RésuméUn cas de cataracte bilatérale d’apparition rapide concomitant à l’utilisation de tamoxifène à fortes doses pour le traitement d’un circumanalome est décrit chez un chien. L’aspect clinique et l’intervention chirurgicale sont décrits. Le mécanisme actuellement accepté est le blocage des canaux chlore au sein du cristallin qui est responsable du développement d’une cataracte. Celui-ci ainsi que les différents mécanismes osmotiques impliqués dans le maintien de la transparence du cristallin sont détaillés.
