The experiment for examining the dynamic properties of cement mortar under sulfate attack is carried out and reported in this paper. By using the ultrasonic technique, the evolution of the dynamic elastic modulus of samples is derived. A new “1sV + nε” method combining advanced Hopkinson technique with pathline-based Lagrangian reverse analysis is firstly presented to obtain stress–strain relations. It was found that the variation of dynamic modulus involved an initial increase stage followed by a substantial decrease stage. The turning points from increase to decrease obtained from the ultrasonic and advanced Hopkinson techniques were found to be different, reflecting the difference between the erosional and mechanical damage.
