Pregnancy is a rare occurrence in patients suffering from spinal cord lesion. Complications such as autonomic system overreactivity are well documented and require a specific management by central neural blockade. Central neural block (epidural or spinal) are recommended either due to persisting sensitivity in case of low-level deficit or because of the risk of acute hypertension related to dysautonomia in case of high-level deficit. The use of succinylcholine for patients that require general anaesthesia remains controversial.
