Syndrome de Tako-Tsubo : un nouveau tableau hémodynamique

Transient left ventricular apical ballooning (Tako-Tsubo syndrome) may occur in more than 50-year-old women without coronary artery disease. It looks like a stress-induced acute hemodynamic failure. A systolic dilatation of the apex of the left ventricle contrasting with a normal contraction of the basis is documented by echocardiograpy. Left ventricle failure is reversible but a transient hemodynamic support may be necessary.
