Anesthésie pour une liposuccion

Liposuction is the most common procedure performed by plastic surgeons. Volumes and concentrations of infiltrates vary widely but large amount of lidocaine and epinephrine may be administered. Infiltrated solution is only partly aspirated leading to change in intravenous volume balance. Rare but severe complication may occur postoperatively related to infiltrate resorption and/or pulmonary embolism especially fat embolism. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that requires careful per- and postoperative monitoring of patients.
