Anesthésie pour la chirurgie des varices

Lower limb veins stripping is one of the more frequent surgical procedures, especially in ambulatory surgery. It is more commonly performed under general anaesthesia but unilateral spinal anaesthesia and femoral and sciatic nerves blocks are especially appropriate in case of unilateral surgery. This surgical procedure does not requires antibioprophylaxis while the value of thromboprophylaxis based on other techniques than graduated compression stocking is questioned.
