Multiple losses in Neonatal Intensive Care Units

In this article the author explores the topic of multiple grief experienced by parents who have a baby in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Support of parents is, in some units, offered after the death of the baby. In this article the author makes a case for an understanding of a grief process that can overwhelm parents even if a death has not occurred and he suggests an understanding of this process can facilitate better care of the parents if a death should occur.
