Connaissance des représentations professionnelles de la profession de sage-femme

Doctors (obstetricians, pediatricians and anesthetists) and midwives are working everyday in the field of birth. In this study, we try to understand how perinatality actors perceive midwives through the concept of professional representations. The objective is to enable the adaptation of training devices such as the school midwives. A questionnaire survey among perinatality actors in French area of “Midi-Pyrénées” has shown that they do not have the same professional representations of the profession of midwife and have specific expectations regarding their training.
