The Hybrid Suite—Sweet

Hybrid suites are becoming available in hospitals all over the world as more practitioners lobby their administrations for the possibility to advance their practice and provide superior technical procedural alternatives. These suites offer the opportunity for surgical and interventional specialties to work together to provide safer, more efficient treatment options for patients. Interventional radiology personnel will become invaluable participants in the planning, design, and use of these new hybrid environments. The purpose of this article is to introduce the concept and detail of the hybrid suite and to provide an introduction to nursing care and team building issues associated with these environments.
