Bariatric surgery has been in constant expansion these last ten years, due to continous increase in prevalence of morbid obesity in developped countries. Its results in terms of weight loss are undeniable, but its consequences on bone metabolism are not well elucidated but and could be pejoratives. The goal of this study is to review the data avalaible on this topic and to discuss the physiopathology.
