The 2014 NCSBN Consensus Report on APRN Regulation

In 2008, The Consensus Model for APRN Regulation, Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, and Education was created to guide all states and jurisdictions i n implementing and overseeing the uniform licensure, accreditation, certification, education, and practice of advanced practice registered nurses. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing collects and tracks the data and reports on the progress toward full implementation, which is targeted for 2015. This report describes the seven major elements of the Consensus Model and the jurisdictions' progress toward adoption of their requirements, as of November 2013.
