Der Hygienemanager – Das neue Tätigkeitsprofil der Hygienefachkraft

ZusammenfassungAuf Grund der Forderung, das Berufsbild und damit ein Weiterbildungs- bzw. Studienziel klar zu formulieren, hat die VHD das Tätigkeitsprofil neu gegliedert. Ausgehend von der Aussage, dass die Aufgabe des Hygienemanagers (der Hygienefachkraft) die Ermittlung der Infektionsgefährdung und daraus resultierend das Erstellen/Freigeben, Implementieren und Überprüfen von Verfahrensanleitungen, die direkt oder indirekt infektiologische Auswirkungen haben, ist, werden die auch jetzt schon ausgeführten Tätigkeiten gegliedert. Angelehnt an den Demingkreis [1] werden die verschiedenen Aufgaben den Bereichen Plan, Do, Check und Act zugeordnet. Durch die Instrumente, die sich aus dem Check ergeben, kann die Effektivität der Tätigkeit einer Hygienefachkraft überprüfbar dargestellt und somit auch der Bedarf an Arbeitsleistung ermittelt werden.

SummaryThe requirement to define the profession and thereby the education and the further training clearly led the VHD to restructure the activity profile of the infection control nurse. Based on the fact that the tasks of the hygiene manager (the infection control nurse) comprise the assessment of the risks of nosocomial infections and, on the basis of these insights the definition, approval, implementation and check of procedures with direct or indirect effects on infections are presented. According to the Deming-circle [1] the different tasks are assigned to the scopes Plan, “Do”, “Check” and “Act”. The instruments resulting from the check allow to analyze the efficacy of the activity of the infection control nurse in a verifiable manner, so that the required manpower can be assessed.
