By using the following food consumption surveys, INCA 1, CCAF 2003, CCAF 2007 and CCAF 2010 (carried out among more than 2000 adults representative of the 15 y.o. and olders, and around 1000 children representative of the 3 to 14 y.o.), food intakes at breakfast's evolutions are analysed over a period of 10 years. According to results, the boom of food offered on the breakfast market (industrial bread- making, specialized biscuits, spread products, breakfast cereals) is linked to a strong diversification of products consumed, for a same person during the week or according to the different consumers. If continental breakfast widely remains the favourite one for adults, the Anglo- Saxon model (with breakfast cereals and fruits or fruit juice) is growing amongst the youngest and could become the dominant trend in the future if children and teenagers keep their habits when growing.
