Achieving Regulatory Goals Through Strategic Planning

Currently, most boards of nursing (BONs) have strategic plans to help guide their direction, vision, and purpose, but the content and structure of BON plans vary widely. Taking a systematic approach to strategic planning ensures the plan is realistic. This article reviews strategic planning as an aid to BONs who are developing, refocusing, updating, or improving their plans.
